SELKIE
Selkies are a sea-dwelling race that occupy the surrounding sea of Truvestia. They live as seals when in the water, and shed their skin to walk amongst the other races of Rebellium. A fish out of water, almost literally so, they rarely ever travel far from the safety of the sea unless something or someone draws them out as they, especially the females tend to be curious of the 'land walkers'. The females are the shyer of the two sexes, while the males who are usually the better looking of this race possess seductive powers over human women or other females of various races. They typically seek women who are not happy with their lives; such as women who are discontent with their husbands or spouses since they are easier targets and there for easier to seduce.
If a woman wishes to make contact with a male selkie, all she must do is shed seven tears into the sea. But she had better be prepared to satisfy his desires. After all that is good and done, they might feel inclined to stick around and chat if there is information or favor the woman seeks, while others might leave them naked on the shore without a care.
When a man or woman that isn't a selkie comes into possession of a selkie's skin, he holds power over that selkie. Wherever the new owner goes, they must follow and do as he or she commands. The selkie is their slave forever more until the skin is returned to them. If it is, the selkie will likely be too relieved to do anything but return to the ocean. But some, while they aren't a vengeful race, might feel the need for revenge.
Female selkie's are said to make excellent wives, but given what they are and what they've come from the sea will always be their true home. Their hearts will forever long to return and if given the chance to, they will return to the sea. However, if the selkie truly loves their partner they will return. How soon depends on the individual selkie. If they hadn't felt the oceans embrace in a month, they could return as soon as a few given days.
